The Giving Tree Fund

NY Nanum Foundation

The Giving Tree Fund is a new initiative of the NY Nanum Foundation established in 2012 that enables individuals and companies to establish specific funds for worthy causes that they want to support. A minimum of $5,000 is required to launch a new fund, with opportunities for any individual to contribute via on-line giving. To date, we have officially launched three new community funds:

Happy Family Fund was created through the generous support from an anonymous family foundation to provide much needed counseling services ranging from mental health counseling to family counseling for Korean American immigrant families and youth, with the belief that a healthy community starts from healthy families.

The Beautiful Shinhan Fund was established through support from Shinhan Bank America to provide educational opportunities for underprivileged Korean American youth.

Emergency Relief Fund was created through support from the Joh Family Foundation to help future natural disaster and other emergency relief efforts in the New Jersey and New York areas.
